How to Unlock Blackberry Bold 9000 – Instructions:
You must have a valid SIM card (not from the original carrier)in your phone to complete these steps. Make sure the phone is not displaying the low battery warning!
Step 1
Scroll to and select the Options icon.
Step 2
Scroll to and select Advanced Options
Step 3
Scroll to and select SIM Card
Step 4
Enter MEPD (Hold down the CAP key for each letter)
Note: When Typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.
Step 5
Notice that the Network setting is Active. This means the Subsidy Unlock is Active.
Enter MEP2 (Hold down the CAP key for each letter. For “2″, press the ALT key then 2)
Note: When Typing in MEP2 the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the Enter Network MEP code box.
Step 6
Enter the Unlock code (This is a 8 or 16 digit code)
You have 10 attempts to enter the code. It will permanently be locked after 10 unsuccessful attempts.
Press the Trackball or Enter key (once one of these keys is pressed the device should display “Code Accepted”)
Step 7
Notice that the Network setting is Disabled. This means you have successfully applied the Subsidy Unlock code. You can now use this device on any GSM network now.
